Our 3,000 square foot spacious home features four very large bedrooms and three fully renovated bathrooms to accommodate your entire entourage comfortably. We lovingly restored this grand home from the ground up in 2015 and it features 10 foot ceilings, original hardwoods, a grand staircase, comfortable furnishings and bedding, as well as designer light fixtures, artwork, and decor. We take great pride in providing an upscale, thoughtfully designed space for our guests. Our design work has been featured in numerous publications including Southern Living, The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Apartment Therapy. The gourmet kitchen has stainless appliances, marble counters, and a chef’s GAS range. The dining room has a table custom-made from original wood ceiling beams salvaged from the home during renovation and can easily seat eight guests. Kick back and relax in the living room on our cozy, down filled couch. The master bedroom is located on the main level and has a plush king-sized bed, an original fireplace, a spacious attached bathroom with double vanity, and a large walk-in closet. (The master suite is THE perfect space for a bride and her bridesmaids to get ready for her big day.) The main level also features a luxurious glamour bath with a large soaker tub, ready for you to rest and relax on your vacation. There are three large bedrooms upstairs, two with queen beds, and one with two twin beds. The third bathroom is also upstairs, as well as a large sitting area. Washer/Dryer, WIFI, and cable is included. Our home is perfect for weddings guests, honeymooners, family gatherings and vacations, traveling executives, couples and friends, or anyone looking for a quiet place to retreat that is near all of the downtown action. Log cabin charm, gorgeous lakefront This charming log cottage is located on a nice quiet lake midway between Huntsville and Bracebridge and offers a classic early Muskoka feel. The cozy 1200 square foot, 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom waterfront cottage is a great vacation get away choice. It has beautiful lake views, a large central living area with a woodstove, three decks, gas BBQ, sand beach with dock, and lots of character. Normal parking for the cottage is located at the top of the hill in the identified parking area. Upon entering the cottage, you’ll find a warm and welcoming true old Muskoka style interior with vertical log and knotty pine walls, wood floors and vaulted wood beam ceilings. The large central living room has a woodstove, a sofa and four chairs for relaxing, 20 inch TV (no cable or satellite), DVD and CD player with a selection of movies, and windows with views of the lake. Next to the living room is the kitchen and dining area. There is a window next to the dining table so you can enjoy your meals while taking in the beautiful lake view. The kitchen is well equipped with a refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, tea pot, kettle, dishes and cutlery. Doors off the kitchen lead to front and rear decks. The front deck and rear decks are perfect spots to enjoy a quiet morning coffee, take in the fresh air, relax with a good book, or catch up with friends and family. There are 4 bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed. Two bedrooms have double beds and the fourth bedroom has a double bed and bunkbeds. There are 2 bathrooms. The one bathroom in the cottage is a 4 piece claw foot tub and shower unit, toilet, sink bathroom. The second bathroom is outside in a heated outhouse with toilet. There is a propane BBQ for grilling summer feasts and an outdoor picnic table to eat at while enjoying the peaceful surroundings. The sandy beach leads to a gently sloping entry into the lake where you can go for a swim, splash in the water, build sand castles or just laze away the days while enjoying the lake views. The lake bottom is generally sandy. There is a 60 foot dock. Water depth at the end of the dock is about 10 feet. There is a kayak, canoe and paddleboat available for you to explore the lake. There is a fire pit located on the beach. Imagine the evening hours sharing stories and smores around the campfire under the stars with the sounds of the lake gently lapping at the shore. Memories to last a lifetime. This classic Muskoka log cottage is the perfect place to relax but if want to get out and explore the area, it’s just a short drive to the quaint village of Port Sydney where there is a sand beach, children’s playground and sliding waterfall. You can also dine out at Mary’s Lakeside Grill in Port Sydney. The Towns of Huntsville, Bracebridge and Gravenhurst are all within an easy half hour drive making this cottage a great home-base for exploring the Muskoka region. Huntsville has a great system of trails, including the Trans-Canada Trail, and parks for you to do some hiking, biking - or simply take in the beautiful scenery. Historic downtown Huntsville offers a wide variety of shopping, dining, entertainment, arts & culture events and attractions, including a Saturday morning farmers market. Santa’s Village Family Entertainment Park in Bracebridge is a great place to spend time with family & friends of all ages. The front door has a small flight of stairs leading up to the front entrance, which opens into the living room. The living room has a pullout couch, two chairs, a decorative fireplace, and Roku equipped TV. The master bedroom has a king bed, the second bedroom has a queen, the third bedroom has a queen, and the fourth also boasts a queen size bed, making this perfect for multiple families or couples traveling together. There are two full bathrooms, one with a shower, and one with a shower/tub combo. The kitchen is fully stocked will all of the necessary cooking essentials to make a meal at home. We also provide body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and linens. Guest Access: 4 cars can fit in driveway with additional parking for 2 more on the street. Please do not park any cars on the lawn or the grass. The Neighborhood: We like to give our guests maximum privacy, so we offer contact-free check-in.
